Step into the holiday season with a Christmas classic, George Frideric Handel’s Messiah! The whole family will enjoy this timeless masterpiece, which celebrates the birth and life Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Messiah will be performed by the award-winning Colorado Springs Chorale under the direction of conductor Deborah Jenkins Teske. The performance will feature talented soloists and the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs—a total of nearly 150 musicians!

For over 275 years, audiences have been mesmerized by Handel’s Messiah. The power of this work affected Handel himself, and it has been said that his servants often found him composing with tears streaming down his face. Perhaps the most well-known part of Messiah is the gloriously triumphant “Hallelujah” chorus with its words from the book of Revelation, “And He shall reign for ever and ever” (Rev. 11:15).

Messiah is perfect for all generations and this performance will be a great opportunity to introduce Handel’s Baroque masterpiece to friends and family. Enjoy this wonderful Christmas tradition as you show support for faith-based arts performances. Messiah will take place at The Auditorium of Charis Bible College on November 16, 2019 at 2 p.m. Doors open at 12 noon. Seating is general admission. Make plans today to attend this awe-inspiring performance!
