Location: Andrew Wommack Ministries – Europe, Walsall
Start date: as soon as possible
The Junior Website Developer will assist Andrew Wommack Ministries and Charis Bible College fulfilling its vision of going further and deeper with the Gospel through the web presence and building systems to achieve efficiency within AWM and Charis.
on design, maintenance, reliability and development of Andrew Wommack
Ministries & Charis Bible College websites, including sub-websites.
efficient, testable and reusable PHP components.
complex problems and architectural challenges.
and maintain integration between databases and API solutions.
opportunities and produce detailed proposals for improvements.
with other AWME and Charis UK departments to ascertain their requirements on
the content of websites is legal, accurate and up-to-date.
- Research and propose new website related
initiatives for AWME and Charis UK as and when required, working alongside
various in-house departments as and when required.
- Keep up to date with all ministry
open and approachable communication with AWME and Charis UK colleagues and be
willing to translate technical language to non-technical staff members.
- Attend meetings, training programmes,
presentations, conferences and social events on behalf of AWME as required.
- Comply with all AWME Health & Safety
- Carry out any such additional duties as
required by the company from time to time to meet the “business needs”.
- Adhere to the statement
of faith and to the ethos statement of AWME/Charis.
Ideal candidate profile:
website developing experience
- Strong knowledge in PHP/NodeJS
HTML5 and CSS3
- Understanding accessibility and
- Knowledge in Server Administration
- Knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of Git
- Preferred knowledge of Laravel
- Preferred knowledge of Adobe CS
written and verbal communication
- Excellent attention to detail
enthusiastic personality with a can-do attitude
organised and self-motivated person
to juggle multiple projects
to work well under pressure, keep to tight deadlines and prioritise work
to work independently as well as in a team
and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
- Love for
people and a servant’s heart with a teachable spirit
and willingness to work outside normal working hours when required
Bible College graduate
Please note that during the interview process, you will be asked to take a simple PHP competency test.
The post-holder will work in a Christian environment and will handle Christian materials, information and products, therefore must be a committed Christian who is completely in sympathy with the calling and mission of Andrew Wommack Ministries and Charis Bible College. This post falls within the definition of an Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010. A Charis Bible College graduate is preferred.
