Back in September, I wrote a letter talking about the power of testimonies. Specifically, I shared testimonies about healing. The reason this is so important is because for many of us, we need to hear that somebody today is experiencing what the Word says. It helps us realise that what God has promised is attainable. Healing hasn’t passed away with the last apostles.
So, I want to continue sharing testimonies that will build you up. Listen to the words of the Apostle Paul:
"And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified."Acts 20:32
When grace is properly understood and received, it builds you up to receive the inheritance God has provided for you.
Instantly Healed
Dealing with constant pain and loaded up on medication, Lance Weldgen walked gingerly into his local coffee shop. His doctors called his condition fibromyalgia. Lance called it torture. Lance noticed a couple—Mike and Rose Gonyer—sitting across the room, studying their Bibles. He mustered his strength to walk over and strike up a conversation. As Lance returned to his seat, the Gonyers noticed his pain. “I went over to him and told him I could tell he was in a lot of pain,” Mike recalls. “I asked if he would share what was going on. After he told me, I invited him to Charis Bible College, where Rose and I were students.”
After attending four classes, Lance was led into an empty classroom where Mike and Rose began praying for him.
Lance wasn’t prepared for what happened next:
“Mike and Rose began praying for me—but not the kind of prayers I’d ever heard before. They spoke directly to my body, telling the fibromyalgia and pain to leave, and then rebuked a spirit of sickness.” Mike then told Lance to stand up and asked how he felt. “I noticed I didn’t have to grab onto anything to stand,” Lance recalls. Lance stood straight up and mentally scanned his body. One thing was noticeably missing—the pain!
God Is Gooder Than You Think
When Mike and Aster Mullins learned that their one-year-old son, Andrew, had stage-four cancer, they tried everything from doctors to prayer chains on Facebook to get him healed. But instead of him getting better, he only grew worse. People around them began to tell them to let their son go. “I said, ‘I’m not ready to let my son go,’” Aster says. “‘I’m not ready to let my little boy go.’”
With up to 4,000 praying for Andrew, the Mullinses thought they were doing exactly what they needed to do. “Would God listen if we got 10,000?” Mike remembers asking. But knowing that time was running out and nothing was working, they thought they should try a different approach. “Our prayer, I think, really changed to, ‘God, please teach us how to pray.’”
In answer to their prayers, someone sent them Andrew Wommack’s teaching God Wants You Well. “As we listened to this message, driving to Crumlin Hospital in Dublin for the next round of chemotherapy, something resonated in the message he was speaking,” Mike says. “He was clearly pointing us to the Word of God.” Now it was time to stand.
Mike explains, “We just got [our son]. We put our hands on him because the Bible says in Mark 16 that these signs will follow those who believe. You will lay hands on the sick and they will recover.”
After their son Andrew was tested, the Mullinses received word that his bones—all of them—were cancer-free! Shortly after that, all of his organs were clean as well! Mike says, “We had learnt how to pray with authority and it worked. . . . [And now] we want to tell others, ‘God is good. He’s gooder than you think.’”
From Depressed to Blessed
The challenges of pastoring had taken a toll on Gary Piercy, and he could no longer ignore it. After being referred to a Christian doctor, he was diagnosed with classical clinical depression and given a prescription to treat it.

After being in and out of ministry for years and dealing with his fourth episode of depression, a Christian psychiatrist told Gary he would be on medication for the rest of his life. This was a condition he accepted, returning to the doctor every six months for an update and to renew his prescriptions.
But in 2018, Gary heard about our Healing Is Here Conference in Colorado. He was asked by one of his congregants to simulcast it, and he explains what took place as they watched. “On Friday night of the conference, toward the end, the speaker, Audrey Mack invited everyone who wanted healing from mental illnesses to stand. . . . So, I stood. Aside from the tingling in my head, I did not sense any other sensation.”
Since that night, Gary has not had to take medication for depression. He doesn’t even have any symptoms of depression. “I feel great and am convinced the Lord has healed me of the chemical imbalance that caused my depression!”
Awesome! I pray this has been building you up to receive your healing. Once you receive, you’ll have a testimony like these people, and no one will be able to talk you out of it. It’s yours. One of the things I do to keep what God has done fresh in my heart is rehearse them. There’s hardly a day that goes by that I don’t do this with what God did in my life on 23rd March, 1968. It’s still as fresh to me as when it happened. And that’s been over 50 y ears! I believe it’s one of the reasons I continue to see miracles in my life today.
