This teaching explains why people have ups and downs in life and why their faith isn't producing like it should. The reason is they have put their attention on what God can do rather than who God is. Don't let the benefits be a focus; seek God because He is God and for no other reason. Faith becomes effective by looking to Jesus. A person is not a flop if they commit themselves totally to God.
